THE BILBAO BBK LIVE EXPERIENCE

A unique festival in an exceptional setting

Bilbao BBK Live is one of the leading festivals in Europe, located in a privileged natural setting that hosts up to 11 stages. A magical experience where you can enjoy nature, a gastronomic proposal designed by and for its public, a cosmopolitan city like Bilbao, and above all, the most exciting and groundbreaking musical variety.

KOBETAMENDI (Mount Cobetas, in Basque)
The idyllic setting we are fortunate to have as our venue. A natural park, a green space with large fields and even a small forest that houses the ‘Basoa’ space. The views are a real luxury, it has the best panoramic view of the city of Bilbao!

SUSTAINABILITY

We sow awareness and Oxygen

OUR COMMITMENT TO CLIMATE CHANGE

We donate 3€ from each ticket sold to the reforestation of the area recently affected by the fires in Balmaseda (Enkarterri), the lungs of Bizkaia.

Since the first edition we have made clear our commitment to sustainability and the care of natural areas.
We want to send a message of attention and awareness about climate change and the importance of caring for the natural environment of our land in view of the fires that have recently affected Balmaseda (Enkarterri), the lungs of Bizkaia. We want to help not only to sow awareness, but also to sow oxygen.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
AT BILBAO BBK LIVE

The SDGs are a set of 17 global goals that the United Nations devised in 2015 to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by the year 2030. Ending hunger, fighting gender inequality, ensuring safe drinking water, and solving the problem of climate change are some of the goals set out in this ambitious 2030 Agenda. To change the world, the SDGs require everyone – governments, the private sector, civil society, and individuals – to do their part. These goals are the tools we use when organising the festival to help build, together, a better world in which no one is left behind.

Our commitment to innovation and development in the cultural sector is materialized in a sustainable development plan, where we involve all participants in each of the phases of the event. Despite the positive impact of recent editions, we are aware of the many challenges that remain to be met and we believe that sustainable innovation is the way forward.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AT LAST TOUR EVENTS

ERRONKA GARBIA SUSTAINABLE EVENT (IHOBE CERTIFIED)

Erronka Garbia is a certificate approved by the Basque Government that recognises those events that integrate environmental measures within their design and organisation to minimise the potential negative environmental impacts associated with the celebration of the event.
To achieve adequate sustainability in an event, it is necessary to implement a series of measures to improve those aspects which are most likely to have negative effects on the environment. For this reason, six core action ideas have been established to minimise the environmental impacts that occur in each step of the event (set-up, event celebration, take-down).
