About Bilbao BBK Live

Bilbao BBK Live is currently one of the reference festivals in Europe, located in a privileged natural setting that hosts up to 12 stages. Held every year in mid-July in Bilbao, Basque Country, located in northern Spain, this event has already welcomed more than one million attendees since its first edition in 2006. Renowned artists such as Gorillaz, The Strokes, Florence and The Machine, Depeche Mode or Radiohead have presided over its line-up over the years, along with risky proposals such as Childish Gambino, Brockhampton and Die Antwoord or music legends like Brian Wilson, The Police, Pixies or R.E.M.

In each edition up to 120,000 people attend Bilbao BBK Live throughout its three days in search of a magical experience to enjoy the natural space of Kobetamendi, a gastronomic proposal designed by and for its audience, a cosmopolitan city like Bilbao, and above all, the most exciting and groundbreaking musical variety.

The deadline to apply for press accreditation begins Monday, May 8 and ends June 16, 2023. Accreditations can only be requested through the form that will be available in due course on this page of the festival website.

OPERATION OF THE ACCREDITATION SYSTEM

1. REQUIREMENTS TO BE MET

  • Prior publication or broadcast of information about the festival is required in order to apply for accreditation.
  • Accreditations can only be requested through the press section of this Bilbao BBK Live website by filling in the form you can find above.

2. HOW TO APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION

On the dates indicated above, we will activate an accreditation request form in this section. Hay que rellenar un formulario por persona.
It is very important that the e-mail address you include in the form is checked daily. Informational communications to accredited persons shall be made through this channel.

3. ACCREDITATION LIMITS

  • In the case of radios and websites, there is a maximum of one accreditation per medium.
  • In the case of the written press, a maximum of two accreditations per medium will be given, one for photography and the other for editing. No more than one person from each section will be accepted for the same written media.
  • In the case of television stations, a maximum of three accreditations per medium will be granted. One of them should be a writing assignment.
  • The number of graphics professionals allowed by the bands is limited. The Organization will provide quality photographs to the media that do not obtain such accreditation.

4. RESOLUTIONS

Those whose accreditations have been approved will be notified by email on Friday, June 16.
Accreditations do not guarantee that all festival performances can be photographed and/or filmed, as some bands have their own rules and have the final say on graphic and audiovisual coverage. The Organization will communicate the corresponding restrictions.

5. COLLECTION OF ACCREDITATIONS

Accredited press will be informed on how to access their accreditation once their application has been approved.

6. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Press accreditation does not give access to the VIP area, artists’ dressing rooms or areas of exclusive access to the Organization’s personnel.
Accreditation will only be available for television media vehicles and general newspaper photographers.
The Organization reserves the right to invalidate press accreditations at any time.
